December 5, 2024 – Oshkosh, WI Â – Sandra J. Schupbach (Nee Gerhardt), 84, of Oshkosh, entered eternal life on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
She was born on January 4, 1940 to Edwin and Viola (nee Benicke) Gerhardt in West Bend. Sandy attended McClane school (K-6), St. John’s (7-8), and West Bend High School.
Sandy was a member of the choir and was a soloist at many churches and events throughout West Bend while in high school.
Sandy attended Lakeland College where she met the love of her life, Cliff. They married in 1962 eventually settling in Appleton where they were blessed with 23 years together before his death.
Sandy was an avid reader who was rarely seen without a book in her hands, but when she was, she was usually knitting. Sandy spent many wonderful times in Door County over the years, but a highlight of her life was traveling with her family to Hawaii.
Sandy’s main goal in life was to be a “good mamma” and she achieved this in spades. She filled her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great grandchildren’s lives with an abundance of love, laughter, and fun. She always made them her top priority.
Those Sandy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her brother, Arthur Gerhardt (West Bend), her chlidren, Scott (Bonnie) Schupbach (Little Chute), Kirk (Valerie) Schupbach (Forestville), Amy (Jack) Coe (Oshkosh), grandchildren, David (Jessica) Schupbach (Little Chute), Kristin Moritz (Kaukauna), William Schupbach (Green Bay), Holly Schupbach (Sturgeon Bay), a great-grandson, Brady Moritz and a great-grandaughter, Jovie Schupbach.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Schupbach, her sister, Elsie Gerhardt, and her grandson, Gavin Schupbach.
The family would like to thank Moments Hospice and Dementions Living for their kindness and care in these final days.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N Richmond Street, Appleton. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Monday from noon until the time of service.
