Feb. 18, 2019 – Robert E. Beine, 84, of Slinger, passed away peacefully on Friday February 15, 2019, at the Clement J. Zablocki Medical Center in Milwaukee.
He was born on April 23, 1934 in Slinger to Herbert and Olive (nee Esser). Bob graduated from Slinger High School.
On October 5, 1957, he was united in marriage to Joan Lofy at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Richfield. Bob proudly served his country in the Army at Fort Polk-Louisiana from 1956-1958. He retired from the Village of Fox Point DPW after 40 plus years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Society of the Holy Name-St Mary’s Richfield, American Legion Post #483 of Allenton and the Antique Snowmobile Club. He was also the coach of the St Mary CYO softball team for many years. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his wife Joan, four daughters: Bethann (David) Ambrose, Denise (Carl) Palash, Jeanine (Bo) Jensen and Kristine (Scott) Gill, grandchildren; Kailey and Christopher Ambrose, Ryan Palash, Amanda (fiancé Josh Nucian) Palash and Andrew Palash, Megan Jensen, his brother Norman, sisters; Jean (friend Bob Becker) Zingsheim, Jane Szivulka and Karen Griffin, sister-in-law Barbara Beine, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James, Harold (Kay) and Thomas, sisters Judith (Doug) Hansen, Joan (Arnie) Retzlaff, brothers-in-law; Dale Zingsheim, Ronald Rolsma, Donald Griffin, Gerald (Lucille) Lofy and sister-in-law Linda Beine.
A visitation for Bob will be held Sunday February 24 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr West Bend, WI 53095) from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday February 25th at 10:00 am at St Gabriel Catholic Parish (1200 St Gabriel Way Hubertus, WI 53033) with Fr. Jude Peters OCD presiding. Interment will take place at St Mary Cemetery in Richfield with full Military Honors.
