December 9, 2019 – Jackson, WI –Richard A. Weyer, 68, of Jackson died on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Froedtert Hospital Wauwatosa. He was born on May 7, 1951 in Milwaukee to the late Joseph and Florence (nee Brahm) Weyer.
He grew up in Menomonee Falls, attending St. Anthony’s Catholic Grade School, graduating from Menomonee Falls High School with the Class of 1969. He served with the United States Army. Following his discharge, he returned to Wisconsin.
On April 24, 1976, he was united in marriage to Julie Wanta at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls.
For nearly 50 years, he worked alongside his brother Don in new home construction. As a lifelong carpenter, Richie enjoyed building anything that could be shaped from wood.
Above all else, his family was his pride and joy. The time he spent with his children and later grandchildren will be forever remembered. A few of Richie’s favorite pastimes included fishing on the Menominee River and following the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
Survivors include his wife Julie; 2 sons Ryan (Karen) and Joshua (Moriah); 4 grandchildren Mason, Owen, Scarlette and Izabella; 8 brothers and sisters: Joseph (Virginia), Donald (Susan), Jeanette (Michael) Prodoehl, Mary (John) Barnes, Kathleen (Paul) Gielow, Kenneth (Michele), Dennis (Julie) and Ruth Ann (Robert) Butler; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson Lucas.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 13 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. Seventh Ave, West Bend, with Rev. Nathan Reesman presiding. Private inurnment will be at Washington County Memorial Park. A gathering for family and friends will be Friday at church from 4 p.m. until 6:15 p.m.
