Obituary | Ralph Frederick Harth, 94, of West Bend

December 31, 2019 – West Bend, WI –Ralph Frederick Harth, 94, of West Bend, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the Waterford of West Bend.

Ralph was born on September 7, 1925 in Mayfield “Katzenbach” to Miles and Mable (nee Worden) Harth. He attended West Bend High School and then joined the US Army from 1944 to 1946 as a tank gunner, attaining the rank of Corporal. Ralph was a member of the Jackson American Legion Post 486. He married the late Dorothy Harth (nee Higgins) on January 24, 1948 in Jackson. Ralph completed his coursework to become master plumber, mostly in the residential setting. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Milwaukee Brewer and the Green Bay Packers. Ralph also enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Ralph was always busy helping others including hand splitting wood when he was 89 years young. He had a great sense of humor and was known for his “one liners”. Most of all he loved his family.

Ralph is survived by his children Donna King, Susan Berg and Kathi Harth. He is further survived by his grandchildren Eric (Mary Pat) King, Jodee (Rob) Wiedmeyer, Amy (Justin) Moisio, great-grandchildren Tory, Riley, Shaelyn, Mason, Jenna, and Tanner, sister Luella Hagan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy, son Ralph “Minnow” Jr., siblings George, Gladys, Lester, Florence, Jim, Sophia, Lucille, Bob, Mike, Helen, Ruth, Lois.

A Funeral Service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2019 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Rev. John Bass presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, January 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. with a military walkthrough by American Legion Post 486 at 11:50 am. Interment to follow at Washington County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
