Jan. 15, 2019 – Lomira, WI – Marjorie B. “Marge” Zuehlke, 87, of Lomira, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Hope Senior Living in Lomira.
Marge was born on August 16, 1931, in Theresa, the daughter of the late Paul and Orintha (nee Pribnow) Dirks. On August 3, 1952, she was united in marriage to Kermit Zuehlke at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Theresa. They have been happily married for 66 years.
Marge was a bookkeeper and worked with Kermit in the family established business, Zuehlke Tv & Electric, for 40 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, dancing in their younger years, and polka music. She loved traveling; visiting Florida, Alaska, Kentucky, the Dakotas, Branson, Missouri, Germany and Nova Scotia to name a few. Marge was a member of St. John’s Lomira Ladies Aid and of the Lomira Historical Society.
Those Marge leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Kermit; two children, Linda (Irvin) Haugen of Beechwood and Denise (Pat) Wartgow of Green Bay; a daughter-in-law, Mary Zuehlke of Sparta; eight grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Mayhew, Tony Mayhew, Shannon (Craig) Bonin, Derek (Cassandra) Stahl, Tara (Matthew) Millonig, Jennifer (Robert) Rentmeester, Arick Zuehlke (special friend, Molly), and Stephanie Zuehlke (special friend, Ben); four step-grandchildren, John, Andrew, Gabriela, and Georgiana Haugen, and Kayla (Adam) Revier; two great grandchildren, Drew and Kelsey Bonin, Benson Stahl, Brewer and Madison Mayhew, Brinley and Madelyn Rentmeester; a step-great granddaughter, Lexi Revier; a brother-in-law, Robert Hankwitz; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by a son, Steven “Kermy” Zuehlke and a sister, Darlene Hankwitz.
A funeral service for Marge will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 550 Water Street, in Lomira with Rev. Matthew Kiecker officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac.
Marge’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
