Obituary | Marie Catherine Schnorenberg, 99, of Hartford

February 18, 2020 – Hartford, WI – Marie C. Schnorenberg (nee Limbach), 99, of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 in her home at Serenity Villa in Slinger, WI.

Marie was born June 9, 1920 in Hubertus, WI to Catherine (nee Fessler) and John Limbach. She was united in marriage to Edward H. Schnorenberg Jr. on September 27, 1941 in Hubertus, WI. She was a longtime member of St. Lawrence Parish as well as their Christian Women’s Society. She loved baking, crocheting, sewing, and gardening. Most of all Marie loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her loving children, Judy Schnorenberg of Slinger, Jo Ann (John) Kovach of Texas, and Jean (Mike) Briggs of West Bend; 5 cherished grandchildren, Martin, Nick, Michelle, Jacqueline, and Stephanie; 13 cherished great-grandchildren; and dear sister-in-law, Nancy Schnorenberg. She is further survived by other loved relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Anna (nee Held) and Edward M. Schnorenberg Sr. ; beloved husband, Edward Schnorenberg Jr.; son, Jeffrey C. Schnorenberg; granddaughter, Gwendolyn; siblings, Peter Limbach, Agnes (Fabian) Komp, and Helen (Leo) Schmitt; brothers-in-law, James, Robert (Hilaria), (Frances), Clarence (Mildred), John “Jackie”, William, and Ralph Schnorenberg; and sisters-in-law, Irene (Norman) Esser and Mary Ann (Oliver) Funk.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Marie will be celebrated Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 4886 Hwy 175 Hartford, WI 53027, with Rev. Richard Stoffel officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-10:15 a.m.

Interment in St. Lawrence Catholic Church Cemetery.

Marie’s family would like to share their sincere gratitude with Dr. Eric Weber, the medical and nursing staff at Hartford Aurora Hospital, Serenity Villa, Horizon Hospice for the wonderful care they provided her.
