November 19, 2019 – Hartford, WI – Lois E. Netto, 95, found peace on Monday, November 18, 2019. She was born on October 25, 1924 to parents Ernest and Margaret (Hennessy) Stevens. Lois proudly served in the US Coast Guard during WWII. While in service, she met her husband Julius Netto and they were united in marriage on September 14, 1946. She enjoyed her work at Wisconsin Lutheran Child and Family Services for many years.
She and Julius were active in the Mason’s and Shriners groups. Lois took great pride in her membership in the American Legion Milwaukee Women’s Post 448. She also enjoyed playing cards, golf, and spending time with family and friends.
Lois is survived by two daughters, Julie (Jim) Courtney and Sandra (John) Turriff; four grandchildren, Patrick Courtney, Kristen (Eric Bonin) Courtney; Tressa (TJ) Dieball, Ryan Turriff; three great-grandchildren, Billy, Maggie and Julian; also survived by other relatives and friends. Lois is preceded in death by her parents and husband Julius. Forever loved, she will be remembered and missed for her sharp wit, big smile and love for fun.
Celebration of Life for Lois will be held at First United Methodist Church, 738 Monroe Ave., Hartford on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation for family and friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. The family would like to thank the staff at the Gardens of Hartford and Horizon Hospice for their kind, caring service and support.
