Obituary | Kenneth “Ken” Weinfurter, 62, of Fond du Lac

January 29, 2020 – Fond du Lac, WI – Kenneth “Ken” Weinfurter, 62, of Fond du Lac was born to eternal rest on January 28, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Ken was born on February 25, 1957 in Marshfield to Alfred and Joan Weinfurter (Knevett).

Ken was employed by the Fond du Lac Reporter. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and late-night conversations with his daughter, Jamie. Ken had a love for cars and enjoyed working on them with his son, Jerad. He enjoyed sharing selfies with his daughter, Maryn, and taking country cruises by the name of “Grandpa Slow-Driver” with his grandson, Evan. Ken was a big fan of wrestling, old movies, the Packers, and playing with his dogs; especially his beloved best canine friend, Roxy.

Those Ken leaves behind to cherish his memory include his three children, Jamie (Paul) Dixon, Jerad (Kelly) Weinfurter and Maryn Weinfurter; five siblings, Linda (Gary) Greisch; Marion Buelow, Dianne Patzer, Sharon (Rich) Kind, and Glenn (Connie) Weinfurter; five grandchildren, Kayla, Emma, Megan, Evan, and Ela; three great-grandchildren, Denali, Letti, and Jameson. Further survived by special friend, Debra; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sister, Carole and brother, Perry.

Funeral Service for Ken will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095. Entombment at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

Ken’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.

Ken’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac and the CVICU at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa for the loving care they provided.
