July 23, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Judith “Judy” A. Kempf (nee Johann), 76, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2019.
She was born on August 1, 1942 to the late Harold and Viola (nee Allarding) Johann in Saukville WI. Judy grew up in Filmore. She graduated from Kewaskum High School. On August 6, 1960 she was united in marriage to Donald Kempf at Holy Trinity Church in Newburg. Judy was a well-known face as she worked at many retail stores in town including Sentry, Shopko, and Fleet Farm before working in quality control for many years at Serigraph. She and Don enjoyed traveling including trips to Ireland and Hawaii. Judy enjoyed bowling and playing Sheepshead with the card club. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and all of her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Those Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Donald Kempf; four children, Steve (Dr. Lester “Jay” Wright Jr.) Kempf, Sheryl (Tom) Monahan, Gary Kempf, and Amy (Bob) Monday; six grandchildren, Sara Monday, Jenna Monday, Josie (Ron) Henningfeld, Tyler (Natasha) Monahan, Collin (Fiancé Sara) Monahan, and Riley Monahan; three great grandchildren, Rayla Henningfeld, Leni Henningfeld, and Iris Monahan; two brothers-in-law, Bob Zimdars and Daniel (Merilee) Kempf; two sisters-in-law, Joyce (Roger) Kudek and Marilyn Kempf; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sisters, Beverly Zimdars and Patricia Fuller and infant brother, Michael Johann; a sister-in-law, LaVerne (Alan) Weeden; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Kempf.
A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Judy will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1610 Monroe St., West Bend.
The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association of South East Wisconsin in Judy’s name are appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at The Waterford and Heartland Hospice for all their help and care.
