Jan. 26, 2019 – John Kosek, age 87 of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau, WI.
John was born December 7, 1931 in Hungary to Joseph and Theresia (nee Kuhn) Kosek. He was united in marriage to Theresia Guschlbauer on February 14, 1953 in Germany.
John was a tailor for most of his life. He also enjoyed dancing, going camping, cooking, and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife, Theresia; children, John Jr. (Nancy) of Hartford, Harry (Linda) of Sussex, Erich (Linda) of Richfield and Maryanne (Butch) Krist of Richfield; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Brother Anton (Elfriede) Kosek and sisters Theresia Demel and Maria Kosek and cousin Maria (Tony) Schall. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents, son Erich I, and brothers Josef and George.
Mass of Christian Burial for John will be celebrated Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 12:00 noon at St. Kilian Catholic Church (264 W. State Street Hartford, WI 53027) with Fr. David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:45 a.m.
Interment in St. Kilian Catholic Cemetery.
