January 30, 2024 – West Bend, WI – Jane E. Ludowissi, nee Faust, of West Bend died on Saturday January 27, 2024 at Froedtert Wauwatosa Hospital at the age of 88 years.
She was born November 17, 1935 on the family farm in the Town of Rhine to the late Adam and Mary (nee Dorn) Faust.
On April 16, 1955, she was united in marriage to Norman Ludowissi at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. Norman predeceased June 30, 1986.
Throughout her life, Jane was employed at various businesses, the latest being at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, retiring in 2006.
She was a long-time member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish.
Jane loved to keep busy and was a very active person. She enjoyed walking many miles in the City of West Bend, and was an active participant with the West Bend Senior Citizens Activities.
Survivors include 2 children Bob (Deb) of West Bend and Lisa Stenson of Hartford; 4 grandchildren: Ashley (Adam) Lownik, Adam (Sam Ludwig) Ludowissi, Matt (Yajaira) Martin and Kelsy Martin (fiancée Angel); 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Margaret Steinert; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 son Mike, 1 son-in-law Kevin Stenson, 7 brothers and 5 sisters.
Family will greet relatives and friends during a period of visitation on Friday, February 2 from 11 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with funeral services to follow at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park.

Jane’s family would like to thank her McDonald’s group for their camaraderie and friendship. She was blessed to have each and every one of you in her life and she looked forward to meeting several times a week with you.
I remember Jane well. They lived across the street from us on Evergreen. Sometimes I babysat for her kids. I also worked with her at St. Joes. She was a great lady. Pat Schmidt Schnepf
