Obituary | James (Jim) Kraft, 87, of Newburg, WI

February 2, 2021 – Newburg, WI – James (Jim) Kraft, 87 of Newburg, WI, born on February 10, 1933 and passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Kettle Moraine Gardens Memory Care in Kewaskum, WI. James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Elaine Kraft (nee Daniels), his parents Phillip Kraft and Pauline Kraft (nee Haar), and his brothers Leroy Kraft and Richard Kraft.

James is survived by his daughters Faith Kraft Zosky (Frank), Hope Helstern (Ron), GayeYvonne Kuechenmeister (Jeff), and Julie Gaglione (Mike). In addition, James is survived by his grandchildren Kymm Rose-McCain (Tim), James Rose, Amber Terlinden (Jesse), April Retzlaff (Matt), Bethany Lowery (Roger), Janell Johnson (Tim), Emily Hantchel (Steve), and Josiah Kuechenmeister; and his greatgrandchildren Robert, Zoe (Alex) , Payne, Landon, Amaya, Eva, Connor, Garret, Evangeline, Anastasia, Thaddeus, Payton, Micah, Cora, and Gabriella, Kendra, and Donovan. James is also survived by his sisters-in-law Doris Kraft and Phyllis Kraft.

James served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War Era. During his career, James worked at Globe Union and Johnson Controls for 32 years. After retirement from his career in facilities management at Johnson Controls, James enjoyed working in his woodshop and building many wonderful pieces for his family. James also enjoyed and cherished spending time with his family, planning and growing vegetable gardens, fishing on numerous lakes around Wisconsin. In his later years, James took up painting scenic views on canvas with acrylic paints that now hang in the homes of his family members.

Private family services will be held at the Newburg Union Cemetery. It is the desire of the family that memorial gifts for James be made to the Kettle Moraine Gardens, Memory Care facility (Kewaskum, WI) or Preceptor Home Health Hospice (Germantown, WI).
