April 20, 2020 – Germantown, WI – Jacob J. Weinert, 82, of Germantown (formerly of St. Lawrence), Wisconsin passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend, WI due to natural causes.
Jacob was born March 7, 1938 in Kewaskum, WI to Clarence and Gladys (nee Bendel) Weinert. He was united in marriage to Nancy Koerber on June 20, 1959 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Lawrence, WI. Jacob drove semi for Midas International Stamping in Hartford for over 30 years before retiring. After his retirement, he then drove motor coach bus for Riteway Bus Service for 7 years. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, the St. Lawrence Fire Company for over 60 years, Moose Lodge #1398 for over 50 years and a past president of the Washington County Central Labor Council. Also, a member of the Germantown Senior Citizens Club. He was past vice president of the Waukesha Musician’s Union and was the Band leader for Jake’s Polka Boys playing the accordion.
Jacob is survived by his beloved wife Nancy of 60 years, children, Jeffrey (Lynn) Weinert, Cheryl Bonlender, Corinne (Rich) Meyer, Christine (Scott) Roloff, Cathleen (Richard) Zettler and Cynthia (Brian) Schmitt; grandchildren, Sarah Jane (Chris) Wenner, Nicole (Matt) Mueller, Joseph (Alison) Weinert, Jennifer (Justin) Wilkins, Scott (Nicole) Bonlender, Tyler (Emily) Bonlender, Samantha (fiancé Ryan) Fuentebella, Krysta (fiancé Justin) Meyer, Ashley (Logan) Miller, Tobie (special friend Andrea) Roloff, Kaylee (Shelby) Fahy-Brunke, Kelsey Zettler and Katelyn Zettler; great-grandchildren, Brody Wilkins, Kory Miller, Brycen Bonlender, Skylar Fahy-Brunke, Skyler Miller, Landon Bonlender, Rylee Miller, Audrina Weinert, Aurora Roloff, Lily Wenner, Delaney Weinert, Jeffrey Wenner and Baby Mueller. Brother Ray (Diana) Weinert and sister-in-law Diane (David) Drost. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other dear relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law Alfred and Irene Koerber, son-in-law Greg Bonlender, grandson Kyle Bonlender and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dennis and Laurie Koerber.
A private family service will be held at the Shimon Funeral Home. The family will also have a celebration of life gathering on a future date for all Jake’s family and friends.
Interment in St. Lawrence Catholic Church Cemetery.
