May 30, 2019 – West Bend, WI –Jack L. Rehm of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of West Bend, died on January 10, 2019 in Ft. Myers at the age of 97 years. He was born on August 23, 1921 in West Bend to the late George and Emma (nee Meyer) Rehm. Jack attended local schools, graduating from West Bend High School in 1939.
In 1941, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in the Pacific Theater, being primarily based in the Aleutian Islands. Following his discharge, he met his beloved wife Kathlyn Woodward in Seattle.
On August 22, 1947, Jack and Kathlyn were united in marriage in West Bend. The couple raised their family and made West Bend their home. Following Kathlyn’s death on November 24, 1995, Jack moved to Florida.
Jack was known for his dry wit and sense of humor which will be greatly missed by those who knew him. He also was known to enjoy a good beer which held true until the last day of his life. Bless his heart.
Survivors include his daughters Emma Gierczak, Carolyn Inman and Julie Sullivan; granddaughter Katie (Brian) Wemhoff; great-grandsons Stephen and Jackson; other relatives and friends.
