Obituary | Helen M. Christman, 98, of Hartford

February 11, 2020 – Hartford, WI – Helen M. Christman (nee Eimer), 98, of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Monday, February 10, 2020 at Majestic Heights.

Helen was born February 2, 1922 in Hartford, WI to Emma (nee Horst) and Arthur Eimer. She was united in marriage to Milton Christman on January 13, 1940 in Hartford. Helen was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church. She worked for Rexall Drug Store, Nieman’s Shoe Store, Avon, and Meals-on-Wheels. She enjoyed playing cards with the “Senior Doers.” She will always be remembered as “Mrs. C.” and “Helen of Hartford.”

Helen is survived by her loving children, Wayne Christman, Karen Christman, Gene (Joanne) Christman, Kay Melius, and Debra (Al) Opperman; 9 cherished grandchildren, 11 cherished greatgrandchildren, and 4 cherished great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by other loved relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; husband, Milton; sons, Willard “Bill” and Keith “Butch” Christman; and grandson, Mikey Trochinski.

Funeral Services for Helen will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Husby officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.

Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
