May 29, 2020 – Hartford, WI – Harvey R. Langenecker, age 70 of Hartford, WI passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Froedtert Hospital Milwaukee after a battle with liver disease.
Harvey was born in Hartford, WI on January 26, 1950 to parents Clem and Rosella (Schwartz) Langenecker. He graduated from Hartford Union High School in 1969 and went onto M.A.T.C. for woodworking. He worked for Ollie Funk and later started his own carpentry business. He also helped run the family farm. He enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making, coin collecting, trapping, and helping nieces and nephews with projects.
Harvey is survived by his brother Harold “Harry” (LaDawn) Langenecker of Hartford; nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Trisha, Ryan and Ashley all of Hartford. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Harvey is preceded in death by his parents.
Public visitation on Sunday, May 31, at Shimon Funeral Home from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Kilian Catholic Church, for the immediate family only with Fr. David LaPlante presiding. Committal to follow at St. Kilian Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Harvey’s name to St. Kilian Catholic Church, 428 Forest St., Hartford or to a charity of one’s choice are appreciated.
