OBITUARY | Robert “Bob” J. Hanrahan, 79, of Hartford, WI

March 17, 2023 – Hartford, WI – Robert “Bob” J. Hanrahan, 79, of Hartford, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at the Majestic Heights assisted living facility surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born February 28, 1944, in Hartford, WI to parents Edward and Mary (nee Hohner) Hanrahan. He spent four years in the United States Air Force, having been stationed in Crete, Greece, and Texas. Bob was united in marriage to his wife Olga (nee Mattheaki) on February 13, 1966, and they have been married for 57 loving years.
Bob had a passion for both hunting and fishing, enjoying these hobbies year-round. He was a multisport athlete in high school, and his love for sports continued throughout his life as an avid sports fan. Bob was also proud to support his children and grandchildren by cheering them on at their sporting events over the years. Bob was a great man loved by his family and many others; he will be deeply missed.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Olga; loving children, Pam (Harris) Turer and Brian (Julie) Hanrahan; cherished grandchildren, Kieran, Conor (fiancé Ashley Madsen), and Riley Farrell, Jordan Hanrahan, and Emily (Andrew) Thornton; treasured great-grandchild, Olivia Thornton; dear sister, Rosemary Ramos; brother-in-law, Giannis (Antigone) Mattheakis. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, and other loved relatives and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his infant son, James Hanrahan; parents Edward & Mary Hanrahan; parents-in-law, Nikolas and Kristali Mattheakis; brothers, Terry and Ed Hanrahan; siblings-in-law, Michalis, Dimitrios, Gabrilis Mattheakis, Soso Lioudaki, Karen Hanrahan, and Mike Ramos.
No services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions to Milwaukee Rescue Mission are appreciated.
