August 7, 2019 – West Bend, WI –Frank S. “Horse” Pazera, of West Bend, formerly of Milwaukee, died on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at The Kathy Hospice at the age of 86. He was born on February 19, 1933 in Gary, IN to the late Anthony and Angela (nee Bilunas) Pazera.
On November 30, 1957, he was united in marriage to Ursula Hale at Gesu Church in Milwaukee.
After graduating from high school, Frank attended Marquette University where he played football. During this time, he was drafted into the United States Army. Following his discharge, he returned to Marquette, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy. For a short time, he worked at the Milwaukee Boys Club. He then became employed at the Milwaukee County Social Services Department, retiring in the 1990’s.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Ursula; 8 children Mary (Warren) Illgen, John, Frank (Laura Blodgett), Catherine, Carol, Joseph, Ann Scherbert and Elizabeth; 7 grandchildren: Theresa, Angela and Rachel Illgen, Tyler (Zoe) and Samantha Pazera, Michael Schweiner and Sam Staber; two sisters Mary Ogels and Anne (Tony) Russo; one brother Anthony (Bette); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son-in-law Arthur Scherbert and his beloved dog Moses this past May.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 12 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at church on Monday from 10 until 10:45 a.m.
Those who wish may give memorials to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
