Jan. 3, 2019 – Boltonville, WI – Elmer W. Belger, 84, of Boltonville was called home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Elmer was born on February 20, 1934 in Sheboygan to Frederick and Lillian Belger (Meilahn). He was united in marriage to the late Marian Kral on June 28, 1958 at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum.
Elmer graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1952. He served in Korea from 1956 -1958 in the United States Army. Elmer was a lifelong member and past Chief (1970 – 1972) of the Boltonville Fire Department. He was owner operator of Elmer Belger Contractor. Elmer was a lifelong member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church. Elmer was a mason and a master woodworker / cabinet maker. He enjoyed making toys and crafts for his family. Elmer also had the largest sheep ranch in Boltonville.
Those Elmer leaves behind to cherish his memory include four children, Lynn (Mark) Peters, Diane (Scott) Eschenbacher, Kim Belger and Kevin (Kelly) Belger; 12 grandchildren, Brian (Elizabeth) Peters, Rachel (Eric) Patterson, Jennifer (Kevin) Murray, Adam Peters, Anita (Brian) Haeuser, Jaimie (Adam Beck) Belger, Brandon (Sara) Belger, Sean (Amanda Gresch) Huiras, Emily Huiras, Melissa Huiras, Kristen (Jon) Thull, and Keith (fiance Casey Hahn) Belger; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by sister-in-law, Audrey Krueger; special friends, Ronnie and Bernice Stange; nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and canine companion, Wiggles.
In addition to his parents and wife, Marian; Elmer was preceded in death by two siblings, Frederick (Morla) Belger, Jr. and Dorothy (Edward) Bocher; and brother-in-law, Raymond Krueger.
Funeral Service for Elmer will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at St. Lucas Lutheran Church (1417 Parkview Drive – Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Pastor James Hoogervorst officiating. Inurnment at Boltonville Union Cemetery at a later date.
Elmer’s family will greet relatives and friends at Church on Saturday from 11 am until the time of service. Memorials to the Hoenecke Book Fund at St. Lucas Lutheran Church and School.
Elmer’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at The Pavilion at Glacier Valley, St. Joseph Hospital in West Bend, Preceptor Health Care and Horizon Home Care & Hospice for the loving care they provided.
