Obituary | Elmer Boesch, 92, of Thiensville

June 12, 2019 – Thiensville, WI – Elmer Boesch, 92, passed away on June 13, 2019 at Serenity Villa in Slinger, Wisconsin. He was born on September 29, 1926 in the Town of Thiensville, WI, to the late Edgar and Mary (nee Barth) Boesch. Elmer was united in marriage in October of 1947 to the late Betty Lou Mae Mieritz who preceded him in death on June 26, 1970. He was then united in marriage to the late Charlotte Pischke on December 23, 1972. Charlotte passed away on June 3, 2009.

Elmer is survived by daughters Kathryn Mary Boesch (Linda) of Lincoln, NE, Mary Newman (Rick) of Burnsville, MN, and Lisa Kathryn Senkbeil (Michael) of West Bend, and two beloved grandsons, Ryan and Joshua Senkbeil. Elmer is further survived by brothers Clarence (Maxine) Boesch and Kenneth (Sandy) Boesch, and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding him in death were brothers and sister-in-law Edward and Gertrude Boesch, Franklin and Deloris Boesch, brother-in-law Elroy Mieritz, wife Olivia and sister-in-law Evelyn Langlois and husband Harold.

Elmer served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Howard J. Schroeder American Legion Post 457. Elmer was the electrical inspector for the Village of Thiensville and later an electrical contractor. He was active in his church homes including Grace Lutheran in Thiensville and Our Saviors in West Bend. His greatest passion was his love for golf, and his greatest treasures were his grandsons, whom he loved so dearly.

A Funeral Service for Elmer will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 17 at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend), with Military Honors to follow. A visitation will be held at the Funeral Home from 3 until the time of service. Burial will take place at Washington County Memorial Park at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18.

Our family would like to thank the staff of Serenity Villa, including Julie, Lauren, MacKenzie, Isabelle, and especially Kari who dearly loved our dad, showering him with an extra measure of care and respect. We would also like to thank Karen and Horizon Hospice who walked us through to the end. Your care and compassion for our Dad cannot be put into words. We will be forever grateful to all of you.
