Allenton, WI –Â Elaine Mary Fehring, nee Becker, of Allenton, passed away peacefully at her home on December 18, 2024. Elaine worked for Joe Zadra at the Gehl Company for years. She was born on March 16, 1944, to the late Lawrence and Helen (nee Schmidt) Becker and grew up on the family farm south of Newburg. She graduated with honors from West Bend High School in 1962.
On October 16, 1965, Elaine married Earl W. Fehring at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg. They settled in the Allenton area. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
Elaine’s faith and family were most important in her life. She treasured simple joys like baking, visiting Amish country shops and making their farmyard beautiful with flowers, especially geraniums. She was employed at Gehl Company, West Bend for 44 years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of the Gehl Hexelbank 25 Year Club.
Survivors include her husband Earl of 59 years. One sister Darlene Hefter of Nenno and one brother Gerald (Kathy) Becker of Newburg. Brother-in-law, Jerome (Nancy) Fehring, 3 Godchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Elaine in death were her parents; in-laws Walter and Viola Fehring, niece Julie Becker in 1996, brother-in-law, Ray Hefter in 2005, brother-in-law Virgil Weninger in 2011, sister-in-law Janice Weninger in 2021, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary Ann and Richard Schellinger in 2022.
Visitation will be at Resurrection Catholic Church in Allenton on Saturday, January 4, from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with mass following at 11 a.m. Lunch to follow. Interment will be 2:30 p.m. at Washington County Memorial Park.
Memorials to Resurrection Catholic Church in Elaine’s memory will be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
