Obituary | Dorothy Mildred “Dottie” LePine, 85, of West Bend, WI

Washington County, WI – Dorothy Mildred (Dottie) LePine was called home on her birthday to our Lord on Thursday June 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Dottie was born June 23, 1937, in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania to Fred and Susie (Hoczko) Barr. She was a 1955 graduate of Nanty-Glo High School, in Nanty-Glo, PA.

Dottie married Joseph A. LePine on January 31, 1959, and started her family of 9 children.  Subdued in nature, she was a devoted, kind and loving person who dedicated her entire life to her family, including her husband and all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She had a love for babies and often offered to care for them and hold them. She was a devout Catholic, who in following the guidance of St. Pope John Paul II and St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, had a special devotion to The Rosary and The Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Dottie is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Susie Barr, her husband Joseph A. LePine, sisters; Mary Barr, Ann Grobosky, Margaret Appleby, Helen Maslyar, and Alice Hitchcock, brothers; Joseph, John, Fredrick, Stephen and George; her two sons Joseph A. Jr. and Andrew F.

She is survived by her sister Patricia Miller, daughters; Marie LePine, Stephany (Tim) Jacobson, Ronda (Vince) Weber, Sandra Kroner, Vicki (Mark) Peshek, Erica Helgerson and son Tony (Kim) LePine, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass begins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Saint Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 406 Jefferson St, West Bend WI 53090. Burial will be immediately following Mass at Saint Mary’s cemetery on Forest View Road. All are invited for her favorite lunch, desserts and bologna sandwiches with potato chips, at her home following the burial.

The Family of Dorothy LePine would like to thank all of the caregivers from Cedar Lake Hospice and the priests and lay persons from Saint Mary’s Church for their love, prayers and visits.
