January 4, 2020 – West Bend, WI –Donald Edward Flitter, 61, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, January 2, 2020. He was born in West Bend on February 15, 1958 to Gilbert and Marie (nee Kremer) Flitter.
Don married his best friend and soul mate, Judy (nee Clune) on July 4, 1992 in Las Vegas and from there, they built a wonderful life. Together, they built two homes and traveled extensively.
He was a carpenter for over 30 years, and most recently employed at Triton Trailers. Don loved working with his hands and was an exceptional woodworker. He also enjoyed biking and kayaking. Don loved being with his dogs, Abe and Charlie. Above all, he cherished time with his family, especially his children.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Brandon (Kayla) and Candace Flitter (Jon Russell); grandchildren, Landon and Adalynn; siblings, Tom, Connie Roeper, Jim (Irene), and Charmaine (Ben) Kopp; father, Gilbert; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Marie; maternal and paternal grandparents; Uncle Merlin; and father-in-law Norbert Clune.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 9 at 6 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend, 1420 W Paradise Drive. The Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 9 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. Private inurnment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park.
