Donald was born on August 7, 1941 in Port Washington to Anthony and Catherine (nee Hansen) Patasius. He married Jeanette (nee Rauscher) July 21, 1962 at St. Frances Cabrini Church in West Bend. Donald worked at Norstar Aluminum Molds (Kelch Corp.) for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. He and Jeanette were always together. They occasionally enjoyed going to the casinos where his favorite game was Keno.

They had a summer home for many years in Wisconsin Dells next to his twin brother Ronald and his wife, Audrey and would enjoy spending time outdoors. Donald loved feeding all the birds and he would get up in the middle of the night to feed the deer who would be waiting for him every night. He loved to play poker and sheepshead and for many years would have weekly card games on Saturday nights with his in-laws Tony and Sarah Rauscher and Ralph and Delores Rosbeck. Donald enjoyed cooking delicious meals for the family. If you met Don, you were his friend and he would do anything for anybody and was extremely compassionate. He is known for his great sense of humor and playing tricks with all he met, including the guys at work, but especially his grandchildren.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jeanette. His children Lori Patasius, Jeff (Lisa Freitag) Patasius, Randy (Toni) Patasius, and Jamie (Jenny) Patasius. He is further survived by his grandchildren Emily, Lilly, Kaylee, Casey, Kyle, Ashley, Tristan, and Kiarra, great-grandchildren Cole, Caine, siblings Jeanette “Jean” Patasius, twin brother Ronald (Audrey) Patasius, Donna (Bruce) Laabs, Linda Heider, Karla (Ed) Harvey, and Bonnie (Doc) Erickson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, step father Nick “Nicki” Hansen, in-laws Anthony (Sarah) Rauscher, brother Larry Hansen, brothers-in-law Al Heider, Ilo Rauscher, many aunts and uncles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019 at St. Frances Cabrini Church (1025 S. Seventh Ave., West Bend) with Rev. Andrew Infanger presiding. Visitation will be at the church only on Monday, May 13 from 4 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
