Obituary | David L. Coulter, 81, of Kewaskum

July 20, 2019 – Kewaskum, WI – David L. Coulter, age 81 years, of Kewaskum was called home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

David was born on April 23, 1938 in the Town of Wayne to David C. and Alice Coulter (nee Wilke).  He was united in marriage to Barbara Bartelt on March 18, 1967 at St. John Lutheran Church New Fane.  Barbara passed away on May 27, 2004.

David was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.  He retired from Weasler Engineering in 2004.  David enjoyed watching the Brewers and winning at the slot machines.

Those David leaves behind to cherish his memory include his five children, Connie (James Korn) Coulter, David O. Coulter, James Coulter, Todd Coulter and Trisha (Aaron) Maas; two grandchildren, Mikayla and Ezekiel Maas; one step-grandson, Logan Maas; one sister, Marion Schuster; two brothers-in-law, Otto (Beverly) Bartelt and Thomas Bartelt; Janice (Rodger) Breselow, Debra (Donald) Theisen and Jean (Robert) Robrahn.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Barbara; David was preceded in death by an infant son, Craig Steven Coulter; nephew, Patrick Schuster; step-father, Jerome Schiller, two brothers-in-law, Kenny Schuster and Maynard Bartelt.

Funeral Service for David will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at St. John’s New Fane (N683 County Rd S) with Rev. Mark Eckert officiating. Interment at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in New Fane.

David’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Myrhum Patten Miller Kietzer Funeral Home (215 Forest Ave. – Kewaskum) on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Visitation will continue the next day at St. John’s in New Fane from  1 p.m. until time of service.

David’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Heartland Hospice for the loving care they provided.
