Darlene L. Nehrbass (Geschke)

Darlene was a strong lady that faced so many struggles and could still find joy. Darlene knew love was most important and deeply loved her family. She spent time with them going to new places, being outdoors, playing games, and doing puzzles. Autumn, her great granddaughter, was the joy of her life for the past 2 ½ years.

She loved flowers, especially tulips and lilacs, and gardening was a favorite hobby. She also loved sewing and crocheting. She made many garments and quilts in her lifetime. She also enjoyed baking – especially bread, cake, and cookies.

Music provided a lot of joy for Darlene. She played piano and even cut her own CD. She loved to sing and was looking forward to singing in heaven.

Darlene was a great money manager, lived on so little and yet was so generous. She gave to many causes close to her heart, especially hunger.

She was always up for a new adventure. She loved learning new things and had big dreams. She will be forever and always loved and cherished.

Darlene is survived by her children; Wendell Riffel, Veronica (Thomas) Martinez, Cynthia Seering, and Brenda (Scott) DeRuyter.
