Jan. 22, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Daniel “Danny” Frank Droese, 71, of West Bend, WI passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.
Daniel was born on February 1, 1947, in Menomonee Falls, WI, the son of Clemence Droese and Hazel Droese Weidmeyer (nee Kissling). Daniel worked hard all of his life and worked as a custodian at the Hartford Hospital and the village of Menomonee Falls for many years. After retiring, he enjoyed cheering on the Packers and Brewers, watching cooking shows, and kicking back to episodes of Judge Judy.
Those Daniel leaves behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Lisa (Barb) Sohrweide; grandchildren, Zachary (Miranda) Sohrweide, Samantha (Diana) Droese, and Courtney (Colter) Droese; sisters, Bernice Grams and Diane (Vern) Pomeroy; sisters-in-law, Pat Droese and Lois Droese; brothers, Gerald (Joyce) Droese, Dale (Kris) Droese, James Droese, and David (Theresa) Droese; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Clemence and Hazel, Daniel is preceded in death by his son, Scott; step-father, Edmond Weidmeyer; brothers, Ronnie, Roger, and Harold Droese; and brother-in-law, Gerald Grams.
Daniel’s remains will be buried at a later date.
Daniel’s daughter and grandchildren would like to offer their sincere appreciation to their Aunt Diane and Uncle Jimmy for their loving care of Danny. The family would also like to offer a special thanks to the West Bend Police Department and Rescue Squad as well as the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital ER.
