Nov. 28, 2018 – Hartford, WI – Brian K. Wendorff, 52, of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford.
Brian was born September 11, 1966 in Hustisford, Wisconsin to Virginia L. (nee Musack) and Clarence A. Wendorff Sr. He was united in marriage to Michelle G. Hartl on October 3, 1992 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge, WI.
Brian loved life, cherished his family, and really loved being involved in his sons’ lives. He loved his job at Hartford Finishing where he was the active president for 3 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and hiking, playing and watching sports-especially golf.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years; loving sons, Alex and Max Wendorff; loving mother, Virginia Wendorff; dear siblings, Clarence Wendorff Jr., Don (Carolyn) Wendorff, Gary (Marion) Wendorff, Gene (Kathi) Wendorff, Lynn (David) Riese, Cheryl (Rick) Alexander, Terry (Laura) Wendorff, Robin (Jeffery) Carter, Brian (Ann) Tunak, Carmel Wendorff, and Scott (Jaclyn) Wendorff; dear siblings-in-law, Steve (Lucy) Hartl, Mary (Jeff) Smyth, Anita (Tim) Tomlinson, Teri (fiancé, Butch) Hanni, Margaret (Steve) Foerster, and Charles (Robin) Hartl. He is further survived by his dog, Hero, several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence A. Wendorff Sr.; brothers, Chester, Charles, and Greg Wendorff; sister, Heidi Tunak; nephews, Mark and Tom Wendorff; parents-in-law, Elaine and Jerome Hartl; sisters-in-law, Pat Wendorff, Kit Wendorff, and Darlene Wendorff.
Family will greet relatives and friends Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 2:00p.m. -6:00 p.m. St. Matthew Lutheran Church (308 Herman Street Iron Ridge, WI 53035) concluding with a Prayer Service and Reflections.
Additional visitation will be held Monday, December 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with Funeral Services at 11:00a.m. with Rev. Larry Mose officiating.
Immediately following services, Brian’s interment will take place in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery, Iron Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Brian’s name to the American Heart Association are greatly appreciated.
