June 8, 2020 – Hartford, WI – Arvin E. Hoppe, 90, of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
Arvin was born November 13, 1929 in Milwaukee, WI to Eleanore M. (nee Hinze) and George F. Hoppe. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Arvin served our country in the United States Army Reserves. Arvin was united in marriage to Carol Yager on January 27, 1951. He retired from working in sales at the age of 62. One of his biggest passions in life was music. He enjoyed directing the Ambassadors of Harmony and singing barbershop quartet. He directed the Ambassadors of Harmony singing the National Anthem at Miller Park twice.
Arvin is survived by his loving children, Darryl (Cindy) Hoppe, Sharryl (William) Robinson, and Laura (Rod) Dirnbauer; cherished granddaughters, Erin, Megan, Tracy, Kelly, Jenny, Michelle, Tammy, Melissa, and Kayce; cherished greatgrandchildren, Collin, Cameron, Patrick, Quintin, Ella, Kadence, Layla, Emmitt, Rigel, Owen, and one soon to be expected; and dear siblings-in-law, Joy Yager and Judy Dirnbauer. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Steve and Bernice (nee Roussy) Yager; beloved wife of 59 years, Carol; grandson, Matthew Dirnbauer; and dear brother, Ken (Nina) Hoppe.
A Private Visitation and Funeral Services for Arvin will be held Thursday, June 11, 2020 in the Chapel of the Chimes at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Drive Brookfield, WI 53005, with Pastor Doug Livingston officiating.
