September 22, 2019 – Slinger, WI –Ann Mergenthaler “Annie” (nee Duehning), 81, of Slinger, Wisconsin passed on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Serenity Villa in Slinger, WI.
Annie was born on June 5, 1938 to Arthur and Anna (nee Stuettgen) Duehning in Slinger, WI. She was united in marriage to Valentine “Whitey” Mergenthaler on August 23, 1958.
She worked for 42 years at Carbon Engineering and part time at Schunk for many years. Annie also enjoyed bird watching, crocheting, canning, and was the greatest cook.
Annie is survived by her loving children, Beth (Tom) Ziegelbauer and Paula (Tim) Lehn both of Slinger; 4 grandchildren, Sherry (Brian) Wagner, Ryan (Megan) Lehn, Travis (Becky) Lehn, Salina Lehn and 9 great-grandchildren. Dear sister, Carol Saegert of Slinger. She is further survived by many loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, brothers Art, William, Edward, Ralph, Harry, John, and Leo Duehning and sisters, Delores, Elsie, Marcella, Lorraine and Emily.
A Funeral Service for Ann will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 6 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027, with the very Rev. Richard Stoffel officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 4:00 – 5:45 p.m.
Inurnment at Union Cemetery in Slinger, WI.
