Obituary | Adelia “Dale” E. (Luecke) Dins, 95, of West Bend

February 28, 2020 – West Bend, WI – Adelia “Dale” Elizabeth Dins (nee Luecke), 95, of West Bend went to her home prepared for her in Heaven on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at The Kathy Hospice.

She was born on July 24, 1924 to the late William and Mabel (nee Bauer) Luecke in the Town of Addison. On February 11, 1950 she was united in marriage to Ronald Dins Sr. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend. They lived in Dundee, WI on the family farm where they were blessed with eight children. Adelia worked at the West Bend Company for many years and was a member of the 25 year club.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church for 48 years. Adelia enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, and polka dancing with her friends.

Family was the most important thing to her, spending time with children and grandchildren. In her later years, she enjoyed Sudoku, word search, and reading. Adelia had a very strong faith in God and always made people feel special. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those Adelia leaves behind to cherish her memory include her eight children, Ronald (Ramona) Dins Jr. of Elmore, William Dins of Bastrop, TX, Christine (Robert) Nellessen of Fond du Lac, Carol (Danielle Summers) Dins of Kewaskum, Claire Miller of Jackson, Corinne (Terry) Gatzke of West Bend, Barbara (Robert) Sopinski of Kewaskum, and Nancy (Tim) Reis of West Bend; 14 grandchildren, Shane (Sarah) Dins of Dundee, Shannon (Jodi) Dins of Fitchburg, Derek Dins of Elmore, Kimberly Diorio of Slinger, Kerri (Steve) Lalk of Kewaskum, Kelsey Kitzman of Waupun, Thomas (Alana) Gatzke of Little Rock, AR, David Gatzke of West Bend, Ryan Sopinski of New York, Aaron Sopinski of Chicago, Ashley Sopinski of Kewaskum, Jessica (Tyler) Jashinsky of West Bend, Katie Reis of West Bend, and Rebecca Reis of West Bend; seven great grandchildren, Aaron Dins, Austin Dins, Ryan Dins, Trevor Dins, Francesca Diorio, Emmitt Kitzman, and Mason Jashinsky; two brothers, Lloyd Luecke Sr. of Smyrna, FL. and Roger Luecke of Tomahawk, WI; two sisters, Loris (Jay) Daley of Dover, NH and Betty (David) Hamann of Cedarburg, WI; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sisters, Mildred “Millie” (Earl “Bud”) Harper and Joen (Lutz) King; two sisters-in-law, Valerie Luecke and Joyce Luecke, and her granddaughter, Maria Lissette.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Funeral Home, 1315, W. Washington St., West Bend.

Visitation will continue on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the church from 10 until time of service, with a funeral service in remembrance of Adelia at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, 777 Indiana Ave., West Bend. Burial will be at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial to Good Shepherd Lutheran School Tuition Assistance are appreciated.

Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Adelia’s arrangements.
