Obit: Thomas “Tom” Ream, 65, of West Bend

August 30, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Thomas “Tom” Ream, 65, of West Bend, found peace and entered Eternal Life on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.

He was born on January 14, 1952 to the late Arthur and Marian (nee Andersen) Ream in Sioux City, IA. He graduated from LeMars High School in 1970. Tom honorable served in the United States Navy from 1970 until 1974. In August of 1974 he was united in marriage to Dee Bonath in LeMars, IA. He received his computer science degree in 1976.

Tom was a member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church since 1987, the LT. Ray Dickop Post 36 American Legion, the Jaycees, and was a past member of the Lion’s Club in Iowa. He liked to go hunting and fishing. Tom enjoyed traveling and watching game shows and sports. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Those Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Dee Ream; two children, Stephanie (Ryan) Crass of Clermont, FL. and Alison (Bradley Rusch) Propson of West Bend; a grandchild, Alexis Crass; two sisters, Carol (Daryl) Prittie of Murraysville, PA. and Janice (Brian) Wielenga of Sheldon, IA.; two brothers, Raymond (Rebecca) Ream of Toele, UT. and Chuck (Gail) Ream of Matador, TX.; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service in remembrance of Tom will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church, 323 S. 5th Avenue, West Bend with military honors to follow.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.

A special thank you to the Zablocki VA Center, especially the doctors, nurses, and LPN’s on 8A south for all their help and care.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Tom’s arrangements.
