Sharon Ann (nee Johnson) Butch, 63, of West Bend, passed away on December 24, 2015, at Hawthorn Manor in West Bend.
Sharon was born on January 19, 1952 in Stevens Point and attended West Bend High School. Afterward, Sharon began her life as a mother and had the first two of her five children. She then met her husband of 27 years, Peter Butch of West Bend, and had three more children.
Sharon was a loving, caring, and giving woman. She loved her role as a stay at home mother. Sharon was also an active part of the community, teaching 2nd grade CCD at Holy Angels, coaching softball, volunteering at McLane Elementary School and leading Girl Scout Troops. Sharon was a certified sanitation expert at both St. Joseph’s Hospital and Piggly Wiggly. Once her children were grown, Sharon channeled her love of caring for others into starting her own Elderly Caregiving business. Sharon loved her job and the people with whom she worked. In her free time, she enjoyed historical fiction, computers, shopping, old movies and spending time with her family.
Sharon is survived by five children, Julie (Joe) Beder of Random Lake, Marc (Tammy) Knop of Erwin, TN, Jennifer (Patrick) Perrott of Chesapeake, VA, Sarah Butch of West Bend, and Katherine Butch of Pensacola, FL; nine beautiful grandchildren, Brittney and Michael Knop, Skylar Buchanan, Kalysta Butch, Aidan Wagner, Asia Beder, Alysha Knop and Joseph Beder, who have blessed her with three great-grand children, Kendelle and McKenzie Dahm, and Grace Beder; three siblings, Tom (Robbie) Johnson, Rick Johnson and Laurie (Frank) Restifo; a sister-in-law, Norene Johnson, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Corrine Carruthers; her father Kenneth Johnson and two brothers, Robert Johnson and Larry Johnson.
A Memorial Mass for Sharon will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. Father Gerald Brittain will officiate with a luncheon to follow.
The Butch family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday at Holy Angels Catholic Church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
