May 8, 2018 – Town of Auburn, WI – Ruth Krueger, 84, of the town of Auburn, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at The Cornerstone Assisted Living in West Bend, surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was born on May 12, 1933, in Cascade, the daughter of the late Edwin and Esther (Plautz) Breitzman. On May 2, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Krueger at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade. Bob preceded Ruth in death on April 12, 2007.
Ruth was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane. She was employed at Regal Ware for 25 years while farming with Bob. She did needle point and enjoyed doing word puzzles such as cryptogram. Ruth loved baking and cooking for her family. She was quiet but had many hidden talents and a dry sense of humor that kept everyone amused.
Those Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory include two children, Robert Charles (Sandra) Krueger of Safety Harbor, Florida and Debra Ruth (Robert “Bruno”) Donath of West Bend; three grandchildren, Robert (fiancé, Nikki Keller Karrels) Donath III, Angela (Andy) Krejcarek and Drew Donath (Teri Schmid); four great-grandchildren, Abigail and Jalane Donath and Cale and Lacee Krejcarek; a sister, Joyce (Rev. Doug) Schweyer of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; two brothers, Donald (Joan) Breitzman of Plymouth and David (Peggy) Breitzman of Cascade; a sister-in-law, Audrey (Robert) Fellenz of West Bend; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis (Merlin) Guell and Vivian (Carlyle) Johanning; a brother, Bob (Ellen) Breitzman; a sister-in-law, Joyce (Jerome) Goeden.
Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church, N683 County Road S, Kewaskum (New Fane). Rev. Mark Eckert will officiate and burial will take place on Saturday in the parish cemetery at 10:00 a.m.
Ruth’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Ruth’s arrangements.
