Obit: Richard “Dick” P. Herrmann, 79, of West Bend

 

Sept. 11, 2018 – West Bend, WI – Richard “Dick” P. Herrmann, 79, of West Bend formerly of Milwaukee, found peace on Mon. Sept. 10, 2018

He was born on October 4, 1938 to the late Edwin and Viola (nee Zinsmeister) Herrmann in Milwaukee WI. He graduated class president from Messmer High School in 1957 and met the love of his life Pat. On September 10, 1960 he was united in marriage to Patricia Schuettig at St. Elizabeth’s in Milwaukee. Together they raised seven children. Dick worked in many different jobs over the years ending his work as an owner – operator of a bar in Milwaukee. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and coaching sports. Dick loved playing cards and going on casino trips. Family was the most important thing to him and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Those Dick leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 58 years, Pat; seven children, Cheryl (Randy) Fredrick, Cindy (Don) Driebel, Lori (Rick) Verbsky, Richard (Renee) Herrmann Jr., Mark (Terri) Herrmann, Rob (Jackie) Herrmann, and Jim (Kish) Herrmann; 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Denter; a brother, David (Virginia) Herrmann; a brother-in-law, Tom Schuettig; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Everett and Jean Schuettig and a brother-in-law, Harold Denter.

A Mass of Christian burial will be on Fri., Sept. 14, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 406 Jefferson St., West Bend. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

The family would like to thank Dr. Marc Olsen, Dr. Muhammad Mian, and the nurses and staff at Kathy Hospice for all their help and care.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Dick’s arrangements.
