Robert A. “Bob” Kratz, age 83 years of West Bend, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015.
Bob was born on December 28, 1931 in Ackerville to Edwin A.F. and Catherine (nee Albert) Kratz. He graduated from Slinger High School, class of 1950. He married Elinor (nee Stoffel) on May 16, 1953 at St. Mathias in Nabob. Elly was the love of his life for over 68 years. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family. He was the kids and grandchildren’s #1 fan at their sporting events.
Bob took great pride in watching the future generations continue to grow the legacy of “Kratz Farms”. He also enjoyed seeing the country while driving his semi. In retirement, Bob and Elly also spent time in Florida with family and friends and enjoyed snowmobiling in Eagle River. Another favorite hobby was hunting with family and friends. He was a life long member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Elly of 68 years, children Richard (Ann)Kratz, James (Barbara) Kratz, Darlene (Allen) Emmer, Gary (special Friend Kris) Kratz, Noreen (Ken) Rossi, and Mary (Jeff) Trunk. Further survived by his grandchildren: Richard (Melissa) Kratz Jr., Robert (Nicole) Kratz, Katie Kratz, Steve Kratz, Stephanie (Rick) Steinbach, Bridget (Justin) Schwartz, Bryan Emmer, Janine Emmer, Kevin (Mindy) Emmer, Jason Kratz, Jennifer Milosch, Mike (Sierra) Milosch, Ryan (Andrea) Rossi, Kyle, Rossi, Tony Rossi, Jordan Trunk, Karissa Trunk, great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Abigail, Abel, Connor, Bailey, Brandon, Kallen, Kashton, Mayla, Ryder and 2 little angels on the way, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, son Jerry, son-in-law Mike Milosch, brothers, sisters and in-laws.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church (200 E. Washington St., Slinger) with Father Richard J. Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be at the CHURCH ONLY on Wednesday, December 30 from 3:00 pm until time of mass (6:00 pm). In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Robert A. Kratz Love of the Game Athletic Scholarship Fund for Slinger High School.
