Obit: Paul Simon Plum, 73, of Jackson

Dec. 30, 2016 – Jackson, WI – Paul Simon Plum, age 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the V.A. Hospital in Milwaukee, with his family at his side.  He was born on November 11, 1943 in Milwaukee, WI to Joseph and Mary (nee Ortmanns) Plum.  He attended St. Francis Seminary, served in the United States Army, married Joan (nee Ensor) Plum and had 3 children.  He was a member of The American Legion – Jackson Post 486.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Joan, of 50 years; children Carol (Edward) Foss, Michael (Jean) Plum, Catherine (Russell Tessier) Plum; grandchildren Amelia, Nathaniel and Marie Foss, Alexander, Kathryn and Benjamin Plum, Allison Tessier; brother Henry (Charmian) Plum; sisters Louise (James) Schmeling, Sr. Helen Plum SSND, Lucy (Dale) Paczkowski; sisters-in-law Wanda Ensor and Mildred (Howard) Williams; brother-in-law Donald (Susan) Wright.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Paul is preceded in death by his parents and sisters-in law Shirley Wright and Joyce Hamilton.

A Visitation will be Sunday, January 1, 2016 from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI 53095) with a Vigil Service at 3:00PM.  A second Visitation will be AT CHURCH from 9:30AM until the time of Mass.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM on Monday, January 2, 2016 at Resurrection Catholic Church (215 Main Street Allenton, WI 53002) with Father Richard Stoffel presiding.  Private interment will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (21731 Spring St., Union Grove, WI 53182).
