Feb. 13, 2018 – Kewaskum, WI – Paul E. Dean, 85, of Kewaskum, was called home on Monday, February 12, 2018, at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
Paul was born on October 19, 1932, in West Bend, the son of the late Paul and Anita (nee Dreher) Dean and on May 10, 1958, he was united in marriage to Joan Miller at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Joan preceded Paul in death on October 28, 2011.
Paul worked for many years as a salesman for Amity Leather in West Bend. In his free time, Paul enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Those Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory include four children, James Dean of Kewaskum, Denise (Michael) Miketinac of Green Bay, David (Linda) Dean of Grafton, and Gregg (Marie) Dean of Brookfield; four grandchildren, Devan, Lauren, Everett (Halle), and Sienna; two step grandchildren, Rebecca and Ruger; five sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Dean of Fond du Lac, Isabelle Straub of West Bend, Clare (William C.) Lehmann, Sharron Miller, and Patricia Miller all of Kewaskum; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Dean; his siblings, Joyce (Henry) Kempf, Lloyd Dean, and Thomas Dean; five brothers-in-law, Hugo Straub, Robert, David, Edward J. and Theodore Miller; two sisters-in-law, Sr. Donna Miller O.S.F. and Mary Ellen (John) McElhatton; his mother and father-in-law, Edward E. “Pat” and Mary “Mae” Miller, and his step mothers-in-law, Virginia Miller and Lucina “Lu” Miller.
A prayer vigil for Paul will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 215 Forest Ave., in Kewaskum with Rev. Edwin Kornath officiating. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery will be on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m.
The Dean family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Samaritan Health Center and staff for the wonderful care they provided to their father.
