July 6, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Michael J. Wolf, 62, of West Bend, was called home to heaven on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
He was born on December 10, 1954, in West Bend, the son of Howard and Ruth (nee Schneider) Wolf.
Michael worked as a bookkeeper for his father’s excavating business for many years as well as owning the West Bend Military Museum. The museum consisted of his personal collection of military history and memorabilia. Michael was a military history buff, collector, and EAA member. In his free time Michael enjoyed a game of sheepshead at the senior center.
Those Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory include his mother, Ruth Wolf of West Bend; seven siblings, Howard (Cheryl) Wolf of Eagle River, Helen Wolf of West Bend, Susan (special friend Dave Fellenz) Sanger of West Bend, Elizabeth (Ron) Garchow of Kewaskum, Mark (Mary Kaye) of Rubicon, David Wolf of West Bend, and Ann (Kurt) Krueger of Mayville; 13 nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Howard Wolf, and two nephews, Arty III Sanger and Adam Sanger.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N 8th Ave., in West Bend. Rev. Jerry Repenshek will officiate and burial will follow the next day at 10:00 a.m. in the parish cemetery.
The Wolf family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the West Bend Historical Society or Holy Angels Catholic Church are appreciated.
The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Michael’s arrangements.
