Marion F. Carpenter, 91, of West Bend found eternal peace on Saturday, July 09, 2016 in her residence at Cedar Bay West, West Bend.
She was born on February 5, 1925 to the late Frank and Anna (nee Manales) Fuerst in Sheboygan, WI. She graduated from Sheboygan North High School and went on to nursing school at St. John’s School of Nursing in Springfield, IL. After graduating, Marion returned to Sheboygan working at St. Nicholas Hospital. She moved to West Bend in 1958 where she worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital, then at Aurora Medical Center in Hartford, formerly called St. Joseph’s, while finishing her career at Cedar Bay West, West Bend. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bridge and sheepshead, and volunteered for several years at both St. Joe’s in West Bend and Cedar Lake Home. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those Marion leave behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Linda (John) Baier and Patrick (Karen) Carpenter; seven grandchildren, Robert (Lynde) Baier, Deborah Wagner, Kathy Christ, Timothy (Amy) Baier, Melissa (Igor) Lukic, Kelly (Mark Kubicek) Carpenter, and Jodi (friend Marcus Meier) Carpenter; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Fred Fuerst; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Arlene Fuerst.
A Memorial Mass in remembrance of Marion will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. 8th Ave, West Bend.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the start of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the Holy Angels School Trust Fund or a charity of your choice in Marion’s name is appreciated by the family.
