Obit: MA2 Blaze Dean Nalezinski, USN, 22, Port Washington

MA2 Blaze Nalezinski of Port Washington, currently serving his country in the Unites States Navy, passed away unexpectedly while stationed at NSA Souda Bay in Greece. He was 22 years old.

Blaze was born in Milwaukee on August 26, 1993, son of Bruce Nalezinski and Twila Robertson Nalezinski. He grew up in Port Washington and graduated from Port Washington High School in 2012, where he was a member of the swim team. A month after graduating from high school, Blaze enlisted in the US Navy, serving as a Master-at-Arms (MP) in Bahrain and Greece. He was attached to Security Department Bravo Section “Arwa Plaza One”.

Blaze will forever be remembered as a loving and caring individual. He never was one to shake hands, preferring instead to give big bear hugs. He was a huge jokester, who always had a goofy smile on his face. He was always very generous and loyal to his family and friends. Blaze was very proud of his car, a Dodge Challenger V8. He learned how to drive a manual transmission in his car within a week.

Blaze is survived by his mother Twila Nalezinski of Port Washington, his father Bruce Nalezinski of Estero, FL, and his brother Brett Nalezinski of Port Washington. He is further survived by his maternal grandmother Inez Robertson of Sheldon, WI, many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bruno and Susan Nalezinski and his maternal grandfather Roger Robertson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 22nd at 7 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington. Pastor Mark Brooks from Heritage Baptist Church in Cedarburg will preside over the service. Blaze will be laid to rest with full military honors in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington. A visitation will take place on Friday 22nd, at the funeral home from 3-7 PM.
