Sept. 8, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Lucille H. Peters (nee Kakuschke), 104, entered Eternal Life on Thursday August 31, 2017 at Ivy Manor, West Bend.
She was born on November 1, 1912 to the late Emil and Mollie (nee Bode) Kakuschke in Milwaukee, WI. On June 3, 1939, she was united in marriage to Melvin Peters at Milwaukee Epiphany Lutheran Church. Lucille was a member of the Women’s Club of West Bend. She enjoyed playing bridge and sheepshead. Lucille volunteered in the gift shop at St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Those Lucille leaves behind to cherish her memory include her daughter, Cherrill (David) Kallio; a grandson, Justin (Nichole) Kallio; two great-grandsons, Jack Kallio and Sam Kallio; two nieces, Joan (Tom) Schleif and Bette (Butch) Zaborowski; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Peters.
A funeral service in remembrance of Lucille will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. 7th Ave., West Bend.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church in Lucille’s name are appreciated by the family.
