Lorraine B. “Encie” Boden, 80, of Kewaskum, entered eternal life where she rejoined the love of her life Rick, on Friday, February 5, 2016, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum with her family at her side.
She was born on July 8, 1935, the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (nee Batzler) Westerman and on September 17, 1955, she was united in marriage to Richard “Rick” Boden at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in the town of Wayne. Rick preceded Lorraine in death on June 08, 2010 after 55 years of marriage.
Lorraine attended St. Bridget’s Catholic School until 8th grade and attended St. Mary’s Springs High School. She worked in a shoe factory in Campbellsport and at Johnson’s Truck Stop in Kewaskum. Lorraine then worked at Regal Ware in Kewaskum for 30 years before retiring.
In retirement Lorraine and Rick enjoyed many trips to their cabin in Crivitz as well as traveling extensively throughout the United States and Germany. Lorraine often said her favorite part of visiting Germany was the food and wines. Lorraine and Rick also enjoyed the three cruises they went on through the Caribbean. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew her.
Those Lorraine leaves behind to cherish her memory include four children, Jeff “Tubby” (Kris) Boden of Kewaskum, Terry Boden of Campbellsport, Mark (Nancy) Boden of the town of Kewaskum and Bonnie (Robert “Murphy”) Ruplinger of the town of Wayne; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Brad) Nerat, Jesse (Julie) Korth, Christopher (Stacy) Boden, Lisa (fiancé Nic Cole) Boden, Emily (Collin) Scherbert, Kyle and Ryan Ruplinger; eight great-grandchildren, Grace, Joey and Evelyn Nerat, Eden, Warren, and Eleanor Korth, Paige and Brooke Boden; two brothers, Richard (Angie) Westerman of West Bend and Lloyd Westerman of Kewaskum; a sister, Sally Doll of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Phil Hahn of Campbellsport, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents Lorraine was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Hahn and Ardell (Joe) Fell; three sisters-in-law, Arlene (Roy) Butz, Shirley (Robert) Metternich and Rosie Westerman and a brother-in-law Gerald Doll.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main St, in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath will officiate and burial will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the church on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the We Believe Campaign of Holy Trinity are appreciated.
