Obit: Loraine E. Kohlwey, 89, of Jackson

Nov.1, 2016 – Jackson, WI – Loraine E. Kohlwey, of Jackson, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Kathy Hospice, at the age of 89 years.

 

Loraine was born in Grafton, the daughter of the late Arthur Marron and the late Martha (nee Hintz) Marron. She was later united in marriage to Reuel Kohlwey, on May 17, 1947, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Grafton.

 

Together they were blessed with four children, Marjorie, Marlene, Mark, and Marty. Reuel and Loraine owned and operated Reuel Vending Inc./Kohlwey’s Kitchen for over 35 years, serving both Ozaukee and Washington counties.

Loraine was a lifelong active member at St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a member of the St. Paul’s Ladies Guild. She was a devoted wife and mother who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. Loraine was a woman of great faith who not only set by example, but instilled her religious beliefs to all of her family members.

 

She was also incredibly proud of her 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Loraine is survived by her children: Marjorie (Tom) Dobberfuhl, Marlene (Mark) Spletzer, Mark (Sue) Kohlwey, and Marty (Sue) Kohlwey; sister, Lillian Pergande, and brothers-in-law, Al (June) Kohlwey and Otto Kohlwey. She is further survived by her beloved 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Loraine was preceded in death by her husband, Reuel Kohlwey and her sister, Lenore Rieter. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, 2PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Grafton.

 

The Rev. Scott Kruse will conduct the funeral services. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, at the church, from 12 Noon until the time of service. Loraine will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Reuel at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, in Grafton. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Living Word Lutheran High School are appreciated.
