Obit: Lois J. Werner (nee Schoewe), 88, of West Bend

August 22, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Lois J. Werner (nee Schoewe), 88, of West Bend, was called home to be with her Lord, on Friday, August 18, 2017.

Lois was born on June 16, 1929, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Max and Ella (nee Peterson) Schoewe. She married the love of her life, Edward Werner on July 1, 1950.

Lois worked at the General Clinic (Aurora) in West Bend for over 25 years, held offices on the Wallace Lake Sanitary District, and was a member of First Baptist Church. Lois was very artistic and enjoyed ceramics and drawing. She also was a bowler and loved gardening, animals, and being on Wallace Lake. Lois was a friend to all and loved her church family. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those Lois leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two sons, Michael (Catherine) and Todd (Lisa); four grandchildren, Benjamin (Crisanne) Werner, Alyssa (Matthew) Roth, Christopher (Sarah) Werner, and Catherine (David) Mulder; five great-grandchildren, Axel, Edison, Aurora, Ridley, Flint, and one more coming in February; sister-in-laws, Lois Schoeve, Carla Werner, and Diane Werner; brother-in-law, Charles (Dorothy) Werner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; two sisters, Grace Schoewe and Vivian (Robert) Wollenberg; two brothers, Robert (Mary Ann) Schoewe and Dale Schoeve; sister-in-law, Mildred (William) Pipping; and brother-in-law, David Werner.

A memorial service in remembrance of Lois will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 2300 S. Main St. West Bend, WI. 53095. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Lois’ family would like to thank the caregivers and staff of Betty’s Harbor/Lighthouse for their wonderful and loving care of their mom.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lois’ name are appreciated to the First Baptist Church of West Bend.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Lois’ arrangements.
