Obit: Leo A. Dornacker, 79, of the Town of West Bend

May 29, 2017 – Town of West Bend, WI – Leo A. Dornacker age 79 of the Town of West Bend died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Samaritan Health Center. He was born February 16, 1938 in the Town of Addison to George and Eleanor (nee Ritger) Dornacker and married Patricia A. Pastors on May 4, 1963 at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Barton.

Leo owned and operated the family farm with his brother until he retired in 2000. He continued to help his brother and nephew during retirement. He would always greet you with a smile. One of his favorite pastimes was playing cards with family and friends.

As an active member in the Catholic church, Leo served his Lord faithfully. He was also a member and very active in many organizations including the Hartford Senior Friends, the Allenton Lions Club, the West Bend Lodge #1398 Loyal Order of the Moose and the Fr. Casper Rehrl Council 1964 Knights of Columbus.

Leo is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia, 2 sons: Joel (Patti) of Richfield and Jon of West Bend, 3 grandchildren: David (Mandy), Ben and Erin and 3 great-grandchildren: Logan, Sophie and Emma. He is further survived by his siblings: Carol Hamm of Slinger, Ruth Jansen of West Bend and Ralph (Arleen) of West Bend, his sister-in-law Donna Bichler of West Bend and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Eleanor, his sister June, his mother and father-in-law: Joseph and Frances Pastors and 2 brothers-in-law: Marvin Hamm and Tom Jansen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Lawrence with Rev. Davies Edassery presiding. Burial will be Thursday in St. Mathias Cemetery in Nabob. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, at St. Lawrence Church from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Lawrence Church or the Hartford Senior Friends are appreciated.

We would like to extend a special and heartfelt Thank You to the nurses and staff at the Samaritan Health Center, Heartland Hospice and St. Joseph’s Hospital for the loving and compassionate care given to Leo. We would also like to thank so many friends and family for their love, support and prayers.
