Sept. 27, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – Karl Eugene Gerbitz, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, in Murfreesboro, TN.
Karl was born October 15, 1968, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Eugene R. and Carol A. (DuBrucq) Gerbitz.
He graduated from West Bend East High School in 1986, received his commercial drivers license shortly thereafter and dedicated his life to moving goods across America. He won several safe-driving awards over the years. At the time of death, he was employed at Big G Express.
Karl loved with his whole heart and cherished the times he had with family and friends. Green Bay Packers football, collecting comic books and video games were just a few of his passion
Karl is survived by his sister Jennifer (Andrew) Arvan, sister Amy Rowland, nephews Micah Solochek, Jacob Solochek, Nathan Chamblee, Christopher Shaneyfelt, cousins and friends.
In addition to both of his parents, Karl was preceded in death by his sister Karyn Solochek and his nephew Perry Snyder.
A small memorial service will be held at 10 am on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 in the Valhalla Memorial Park chapel. A graveside blessing will follow the memorial service.
Karl’s family and friends are invited to gather for a luncheon after services.
