Nov. 8, 2016 – West Bend, WI – Kara K. Kanieski-Butler, 44, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016. She was born on September 10, 1972 in Milwaukee and graduated from West Bend West Class of 1990. She married David Butler on April 20, 2008 in New Orleans.
She was employed at Bumper to Bumper. Kara was a car buff and mechanic, she loved antiques and the preservation of anything old. She enjoyed music and sang and played in a band.
Kara enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and traveling. She was an artist and was very creative, especially with home decorating and flower gardening. She loved the color purple. “She was no cookie cutter girl.”
She is survived by her husband David, mother Judy (Richard) Spaeth, father-in-law Richard Butler, brother Ty (Jenny) Kanieski, brother-in-law Don (Kim) Butler, sisters-in-law Ann (Marty) Primasing and Kathy (Scott) Hogden, aunt Carol (John Yusko) Burg-Schulteis, uncles Dave (Debbie) Burg and Erv (Marrianne) Kanieski, special great-aunt Bette Peck, and feline companions Colby and Buddy. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Kara is preceded in death by her father Jeffery Kanieski, mother-in-law Lynn Butler and brother-in-law Tom Butler.
The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend) with Deacon Mark Jansen presiding. The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 13th from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. Memorial donations made to St. Vincent DePaul would be appreciated.
