John R. Neckuty, 84, of Campbellsport died Sunday May 8, 2016 at the Crossroads Care Center in Mayville. He was born on Feb. 12, 1932 in the Town of Osceola, the son of Joseph and Veronica Nobas Neckuty.
John served in the U. S. Air Force from 1950 to 54 stationed in Japan and Korea. On April 26, 1957, he married Elaine M. Tomlinson in Fond du Lac. John worked as a cheesemaker, at the West Bend Company and drove bus for Bill Baumann and Johnson Bus before retiring.
Survivors include his son Joe of Campbellsport, his daughters Kathy (Mark) Mamerow of Waupun and Debra Koontz of Fond du Lac, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, his sister Ann Manthie of Kewaskum, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elaine on Feb. 25, 2001, his grandson Andrew Mamerow, his sister Christina, his brothers Peter and Stanley, his half- brother Victor Hodoff, his sister-in-law Eleanor Neckuty Herriges and his brother-in-law Willard Manthie.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday May 14 at 2:00 PM at St. Matthews Cemetery in Campbellsport.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Crossroad Care Center especially Wendy and Nikki for John’s care in his final days.
