Joan C. Wagner, nee Duffee, age 88 of West Bend died Saturday, June 25, 2016 while in hospice care at the Cottages at Cedar Run in West Bend.
Joan was born on February 21, 1928 in Madison, Wisconsin, the youngest of three daughters born to Floyd and Isabel (Walsh) Duffee. Joan attended the University of Wisconsin before marrying Derry Wagner and moving to West Bend in 1950.
Joan is survived by her husband, Derry, and by her five children: Susan Cooper, Catherine (Dennis) Brath, Barbara (Brian) Rismon, James (Terri) and Andrew (Suzanne). Joan is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as two nieces.
Joan enjoyed spending time with her many friends playing bridge, traveling, gardening and watching the birds and squirrels in her back yard. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her husband and family and will be greatly missed by all.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Patricia Hirsbrunner and Mary Jane Duffee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend with Rev. Justin Lopina presiding. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. The family will greet visitors on Saturday, at the church only from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cottages at Cedar Run or Cedar Hospice.
